These videos show the ease of application and dramatic effects of applying OxideOff Emulsion to oxidized car paint, faded car paint and clear coats.

1995 Eagle Summit with original paint and extensive clear coat failure and oxidized paint on the hood and roof. Treatment with OxideOff Emulsion and 2 coats of Meguiar’s Carnauba wax brought my paint back to a very satisfactory condition. Because the clear coat had already peeled, you can still see the different layering between the paint and clear coat if observed at an angle in strong light. Not as good as a new paint job, of course, but it made my 19 year old car look pretty decent for a minimal cost. Application of the emulsion is an easy and fast Do-It-Yourself operation that will remove oxidation on car paints and clear coats, rejuvenate clear coat peeling and restore faded paint.

1994 Audi 90: Restoring Appearance with Two Coats of OxideOff Emulsion

This 21 year old Audi 90 has typical paint and clear coat problems commonly seen on older vehicles. The clear coat has failed in several areas and the paint is very dull. As you can see in this video, significant improvement in the appearance was obtained with a single application of OxideOff Emulsion. However a second application applied a few days later improved the appearance even further. After two applications of OxideOff Emulsion, the damaged clear coat is very well hidden and the shine has been restored to the older paint.

Pontiac Sunfire with Severe Clear Coat Failure

The car featured in this video has extreme clear coat failure and was considered to be beyond hope other than an expensive repainting. Consequently, some additional, more aggressive and experimental surface preparation techniques have been used involving wet and dry sandpaper.

In this video, the surface was GENTLY and lightly sanded with 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper and plenty of water to remove the delaminated clear coat. Extreme care was taken to only remove the flaking clear coat and avoid applying too much pressure which would remove the underlying paint and expose bare metal. After sanding the flaking edges of the clear coat and rinsing to remove any residues, a single coat of emulsion was applied, followed by a second coat some 3 days later.

The before and after results are amazing, but unless skilled in this preparation process, vehicle owners should only use dishwashing liquid and a sponge for surface preparation, since wet and dry sandpapering can lead to visible scratches and other unsightly paint damage .

Treating a Dodge Neon Headlight with OxideOff Emulsion

This Dodge Neon headlight was in bad shape. A quick application of OxideOff emulsion removed most of the oxidation deposits on this aging headlight. These oxidation deposits cause the headlights to look hazy, cloudy, yellow and dull and restricted the amount of light that was transmitted. The oxidation deposits were easily removed in a simple wipe-on, wipe-off operation. Preparation prior to applying OxideOff consisted of simply washing the headlight with water and common liquid dish washing detergent. After allowing to thoroughly dry, a very thin application of OxideOff was wiped on and allowed to dry. No buffing, polishing or hard rubbing was required and the total operation took less than 5 minutes! After allowing the emulsion to dry, applying a coat of wax will prolong the effect.

Photo Montage – Before and After Treatment of Oxidized Car Paint with Oxide Reducing Emulsion

A short video of “Before and After” photos showing oxidized car paint and clear coat failure areas treated with OxideOff. The emulsion treatment will react with and remove oxidation on car paints and help hide the effects of clear coat failure. An easy Do-It-Yourself (DIY) operation which will restore the shine to faded paint and rejuvenate peeling clear coat.

Treating a Crestliner Fiberglass Boat Hull with OxideOff Emulsion

This AMF Crestliner boat has a fiberglass hull that has deteriorated over the years due to sun and water exposure. Since OxideOff Emulsion drastically improves the faded and dull appearance of oxidized paint and headlights on automobiles, I decided to test the emulsion on this fiberglass hull to see if it could be brought back to a satisfactory condition. The results are amazing; after a quick wash to remove surface dirt and one application of OxideOff emulsion, the appearance of the fiberglass is vastly improved.

Cleaning Tarnished Silverplate with L’Oxide Oxide Reducing Emulsion

OxideOff Emulsion is commonly used to treat and restore oxidized paintwork and peeling clear coat on cars and trucks, renew sun damaged fiberglass boat hulls, and restore brilliance and clarity to automobile headlight lenses.

In our continuing effort to find additional uses for this Oxide Reducing Emulsion, we tested OxideOff on a badly tarnished silver plated bowl. This video demonstrates how OxideOff can assist in restoring the original brilliance to silver and silver plated household items.

Treating oxidized car paint and clear coat failure on an older Truck

Treatment of badly damaged oxidized car paint and clear coat failure areas with OxideOff Emulsion. The emulsion is intended to dramatically improve the visual appearance of failed areas, but does not replace the failed clear coat layer like a new paint job. An easy and fast Do-It-Yourself (DIY) operation which will restore the shine to faded paint and rejuvenate peeling clear coat.

Treating Oxidized 1995 Subaru Impreza with OxideOff Emulsion

This video shows the simple Do-It-Yourself (DIY) steps to change the ugly appearance of severely oxidized paintwork on a car. Rejuvenating the paintwork, even on a vehicle as badly oxidized as this one, requires no special tools, no masking or taping off, no hard rubbing, and no special skills and can be achieved in under 30 minutes. See for yourself!

Removing paint oxidation on a classic 1985 Nissan 300ZX

This classic 1985 Nissan 300ZX paint is still in pretty good condition, but some of the paint is faded and showing signs of oxidation on the T-Bone roof, the rear spoiler and the front driver’s side headlight cowling. The owner has polished these areas on a regular basis, but the underlying oxidation still shows through. After thoroughly washing and scrubbing these areas and allowing the car to completely dry, a thin coat of OxideOff emulsion was applied to the affected areas.

The results speak for themselves. The faded paint and oxidized areas now have gloss and shine after a simple and easy DIY operation.

Before and after treating oxidized car paint and clear coat failure on PT Cruiser

This PT Cruiser has oxidized car paint and areas of clear coat failure on the hood. A quick application of OxideOff Emulsion dramatically improved the visual appearance of the failed areas. The emulsion is not intended to replace the failed clear coat layer like a new paint job, but will minimize the “my car paint looks awful” effect.

Photo Montage – Before and After Treatment of cloudy headlights with L’Oxide Emulsion

Colorado Auto Parts in Englewood CO was kind enough to let OxideOff demonstrate OxideOff Emulsion on several heavily oxidized headlights. Preparation prior to applying OxideOff consists of simply washing the headlights with water and common liquid dish washing detergent. After allowing to thoroughly dry, a very thin application of OxideOff is wiped on and allowed to dry. No buffing, polishing or hard rubbing is required and the total operation will take less than 5 minutes! Applying a coat of wax to the lens will prolong the effect.

Headlight Treatment on a 2004 Chrysler Concorde using OxideOff Emulsion

Headlights of today often develop a hazy, cloudy, yellow oxidized layer due to constant exposure to the sun and weather. This 2004 Chrysler Concorde headlight is a typical example of oxidation damage. These light reducing oxidation deposits can be easily removed in a simple wipe-on, wipe-off operation using OxideOff Emulsion by OxideOff.com. The procedure is very simple and fast:

Wash the headlight with water and common liquid dish washing detergent to remove surface dirt.

Allow to fully dry.

Apply a very thin coat of OxideOff emulsion.

If desired, apply a coat of wax to prolong the effect.

How good is L’Oxide Emulsion? Good enough that a thief steals a treated Honda hood

Two months after treating a badly oxidized car hood with OxideOff emulsion, a thief is caught on surveillance video stealing the hood in the wee hours of the morning.

This car was part of the inventory at  Price Rite Motors and 2 months later, a thief thought the hood was so good, he decided to steal it. He injured himself in the process but has not yet been identified.

Honda Civic with Severe Clear Coat Failure

Typical applications for the oxide reducing emulsion produced by OxideOff.com, involves a thorough washing of the car followed by an application of the emulsion to the oxidized panels.

The Honda Civic featured in this video has extreme clear coat failure and was considered to be beyond hope other than an expensive repainting. Consequently, additional, more aggressive and experimental surface preparation techniques were used involving wet and dry sandpaper.

In this video, the surface was GENTLY and lightly sanded with 1500 grit wet and dry sandpaper and plenty of water to remove the delaminated clear coat. Extreme care was taken to only remove the flaking clear coat and avoid applying too much pressure which would remove the underlying paint and expose bare metal. After sanding the flaking edges of the clear coat and rinsing to remove any residues, a single coat of emulsion was applied, followed by a second coat 3 days later. The vehicle sold quickly after treatment and was no longer available for additional post application long term photos.

The before and after results are amazing, but unless skilled in this preparation process, vehicle owners should only use dishwashing liquid and a sponge for surface preparation, since wet and dry sandpapering can lead to visible scratches and other unsightly paint damage.
